Fr. MICHAŁ RAPACZ, son of Jan and Marianna née Wójcik, was born on 16 September 1904, in the village of Tenczyn, then part of the Lubień parish in the Diocese of Kraków. After graduating from high school in Myślenice in 1926, he entered the Major Seminary in Kraków. He completed his studies at the Faculty of Theology of the Jagiellonian University in Kraków and was ordained a priest of the Archdiocese of Kraków on 1 February 1931. From 1931 to 1933, he served as Assistant Priest (Curate) in the parish of Płoki, and then from 1933 to 1937 in the parish of Rajcza. On 11 November 1937, he was appointed administrator of the Płoki parish, where he fulfilled his duties as parish priest with great zeal until his martyrdom on 12 May 1946. He was beatified on 15 June 2024 in Krakow-Łagiewniki.
